I spent most of a career building things for organizations that weren’t going to build anything back. I was good at it.
At some point the gap between what I was accountable for and what I actually controlled got too wide to ignore. I kept performing anyway.
I got out. Not cleanly. There was a legal process. I’m not going to describe it.
I built this site afterward. Most of what’s here came from talking to people standing where I’d stood, asking what I’d asked.
